I grew up in South Texas, but moved to Colorado 15 years ago. This restaurant reminded me of home. The food and service were both excellent. My kids loved it.

Small town locally owned eatery, so have that expectation when you arrive. Menu is diverse and extensive. Service was adequate. Prices are very reasonable. Our party had the shrimp enchiladas, the Habanero Plate, the chicken & beef fajitas, and the Tex-Mex plate (with carne guidsada). All were very satisfied with their choices - except for the shrimp enchiladas (lots of shrimp, but the flavor was flat). However the fajita's and the carne guisada were excellent! We'll go back - which is a testament to this happy little place.

This is the best Mexican family owned restaurant. The grandmother does the cooking I was told. I ordered the shredded chicken enchiladas with white cheese, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, rice and beans. The waiter was courteous and he brought me my ice tea and chips and salsa. I ask for some green sauce and he gave me a whole lot in a squeeze bottle. I loved the green sauce. Not to hot. Just right. The plate came out straight from the kitchen steaming hot. The portions were good size and it was not greasy or oily like some other places I've eaten. The menu is extensive and I will come back and try some of their other dishes.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant and I ordered takeout. When I called to place my order the staff answered the phone in a timely and I wasn't placed on hold. The person taking my order did it professionally and thoroughly. I ordered the #40- Tampiquena Plate (one cheese enchilada, beef fajitas, one crispy taco, rice, and beans), chips and salsa, and their sopapillas for dessert. My order was ready at the promised time and hot. The staff was attentive to their drive-thru and I didn't have to wait for someone to appear at the window. The portions were more than generous and could easily be split into two smaller meals. The sopapillas were by far my favorite. The food was decently priced (approximately $20 total) for the amount of food that I received. This restaurant has something on the menu for everyone and is worth a try.
